Read MoreMike graduated with a diploma in Electrical Engineering from Sydney, Australia and came to Canada on a working holiday in the early 1970s making Edmonton his home. Alberta was booming and it was an exciting place to be. After his first contract, Mike began working with a large worldwide engineering, construction and consulting firm. It was there that he saw the need for a staffing firm specializing in engineers for the construction industry. He also understood the dynamics of matching people to opportunity. Mike graduated from Harvard Business School's Owners and Presidents Management Program in 1998 and received a Frazer Milner Pinnacle award for Entrepreneurial achievement. In 2006, he was awarded the Prairie Region Entrepreneur of the year in the Professional Services category. He is a past Co-chair of Edmonton Economic Development Corporation's Architectural, Engineering and Construction Cluster group, a member of Rotary and TEC and is involved in numerous charitable organizations including the Youth Emergency Shelter Society, Stars Foundation, NorQuest College and the University Hospital Foundation.
Today, under Mike's leadership, DGSI has grown to include four brands and approximately 300 employees working out of 25 locations across Canada. The company has been named one of Canada's 50 Best Managed companies for the last 17 years. Mike attributes the firm's success to our ability to deliver superior value to our customers along with the caliber of our staff. Craig brings a dynamic leadership style and over 20 years of experience in the staffing and retail industries.

Craig holds an MBA in Strategy and Marketing from the University of Calgary and a B.Sc. from the University of British Columbia.
Having lived in four provinces, Craig considers himself as Canadian as they come. In his spare time, Craig plays competitive tennis and basketball and sits on the board of various youth sports organizations.
Matthew brings over 25 years of experience in the staffing industry with an extensive background in permanent and contract placements.

He has managed recruitment projects that have resulted in maintaining a group of up to 800 contract and temporary staff as well as permanent hiring.
Since joining Design Group Staffing in 2003, Matthew has led teams in designing and delivering innovative staffing solutions, particularly to meet Alberta’s tight labour market economy. Matthew also brings an executive coaching perspective to the recruiting process as he has obtained a Certified Executive Coach designation from Royal Roads University.
Stephane brings over 20 years of accounting and finance experience to the company.

Stephane is also involved in the development of corporate and strategic goals, risk management, financial sustainability and corporate planning. Prior to joining DGSI, he held senior financial management positions in a number of international companies operating in a wide range of industries, most recently as VP Finance of a multi-billion dollar publicly traded energy services company. Stephane is a Certified Management Accountant and has led and assembled high performing teams through the cultivation of trust, alignment of values and a high degree of accountability. Outside of work, Stephane enjoys playing hockey and golf as well as spending time with friends and family.
Kathleen brings comprehensive human resources leadership experience spanning over 25 years in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors.

She is dedicated to building relationships and programs that support the strength of staff across the business – from their first day on the job and continuing throughout their career experience with the organization.
Previous to joining DGSI, Kathleen worked in the energy sector with a focus on leadership and high potential development, change management and human resources project management. She particularly valued her work with people across disciplines, levels, cultures and regions.
Kathleen’s home is in Calgary, however she did enjoy living and working in The Hague, The Netherlands. She and her family are football fans and enjoy summer camping trips to both familiar and new destinations.
